Why practice yoga?

I am quite conscious of the manipulation of the word ‘self-care’ for marketing purposes, but for me, yoga has made me want to take better care of myself. It has taught me so much about being comfortable in my own skin and being kinder to myself.

Increases flexibility, helps you move more effectively

Improves posture, coordination and body awareness

Increases muscle strength and muscle tone

Prevents injury and can help lessen chronic pain

 

Boosts circulation – yoga gets your blood flowing

Breathwork techniques can help clear the mind and boost focus

Calming and restorative effect on sympathetic nervous system

Counteracts stress and can help alleviate anxiety
